The 2019-2020 football season is in full swing. Following several wonderful activations during the 2018-2019 season, Veliche™ Gourmet is proud to be sponsoring SV Zulte Waregem once again this year. Instead of first team football, we are sponsoring the G-team for young people with disabilities. We are also organising a Veliche G-Day, which puts this great team from the Essevee Academy in the spotlight. What’s more, we are sponsoring the Fair Play Award.
Ann Blauwblomme (trainer Esseevee G-team) explains that G-football is aimed at people with disabilities and how SV Zulte Waregem focuses on children with mental and physical behavioural disorders. “We are delighted and very lucky to have Veliche™ as our main sponsor this year too, as we did last season.”
This season, Veliche™ Gourmet is also sponsoring the Fair Play Award. This is presented to teams that have shown their commitment to fair play and compassion in football. Furthermore, the Veliche™ G-Day will be held again this year, following the great success of last year’s event. On Veliche ™ G-Day, the G-team and its players are placed in the spotlight and engage in a variety of activities. Last year, for example, the children worked with chocolate and marzipan, supported by the attending Veliche chefs. In addition, all players received a Veliche ™ football jersey and got to walk on to the pitch with the SV Zulte Waregem team. “The players start looking forward to this two or three months in advance,” says Ann Blauwblomme.
Why Veliche™ Gourmet is proud to sponsor the G-team
“Through our sponsorship activities, Veliche™ Gourmet wants to show our support for the local community,” explains Inge Demeyere, Managing Director of Chocolate Europe at Cargill cocoa and chocolate division. “We’re passionate about chocolate, but also passionate about supporting the G-team players, and contributing to their happiness. We also love seeing the passion amongst volunteers who work with the team.”
For Veliche™ Gourmet, showing our commitment to local communities through charity work is very important. What’s more, we also get to show our chocolate capabilities as part of our collaboration with the catering company – together, we provide an average of 1,000 meals at each match.
